6-18-08- I made a lot of major changes in the past months. I added two new videos. One which is the Mime For A Day short I made in my Senior year, and the other is a reel of montages from
projects I did at Animation Collective. It took me this long because I had to figure out how to upload videos to this new builder. I am working all
day, and by the evening, my progress with personal stuff is slow. But, come June 26th, I will be
employed for two years. :) Look for more videos later, and hopefully, I'll update more often. 3-19-08- I know it's been a while, but I added one new piece of artwork to the gallery, and a three-page fancomic
I made to celebrate the return of Derrick Fish's Dandy and Company! Go visit his website- the strip is actually really good! Plus, I wrote the introduction to the first volume of his collection
reprints, under Lulu Press. 12-16-07- There's a treat in my Comics page called Mistletoe, a comic I made in the in the beginning of December. It's a departure from what I usually do in comics. It's a
short story, only five pages, with no test of any kind, and no crazy humor. As for jobs, I just received word
that my contract with my employer has been extended. I am still going to search for jobs, but now, the fear of a deadline
is no longer hovering over me, and I feel less stressed. 10-19-07- I updated my gallery with a
few new images since last update, a month ago. My search for a job safety net continues, however, I am no longer dependent
on the end date of my current job. 9-19-07- Wow it's only been 10 days since my last update?! In the Gallery,
I complied and posted, with the studios' permission, a reel that encapsulates my work on Kappa Mikey. The reel is about
3 minutes, no sound, and it's a mov, so it takes a long time to load, but I am figuring out how to convert it into an
mpeg file instead, which uploads quicker online. That will soon replace this file. Stay tuned! 9-9-07- Added
a new image to the gallery, a piece of concept art for the Jack Magic comic. This character will be introduced in the next
few chapters. 9-3-07- Happy Labor Day! I am still trying to find a good new home for Norm & Cory. I will
probably make a new account under a comichosting program, or try to get it under Keenspot, or the like, though, it would be
ideal to have it under a space where I have complete control. Now all that is left is to update the store, and and new images.
I am also in the process of transitioning between jobs right now, so things are busy, 6-1-07- Wow, I had forgotten
how much I need to catch up on! There is an interview I forgot to mention that i have to Digital Strips, a podcast which
reviews webcomics. I talk mainly about Norm & Cory! Also, the links in the Gallery are now all working.
5-23-07-Today was uneventful. I started up this new mirror site of www.sketchesandsquirrels.com, since that site has become
impossible to update. Once I get this website going, I will eventually trash the old one. I also started the new gallery
section with new artwork! The next time I start a Norm & Cory chapter, I should think the WHOLE
story through. One of the reasons why this chapter has been put on hold for so long is because I didn't think through
how to get from A to B. It's getting close, but there are still things I need to think about. Jack Magic is easier for me to write simply because I know what's going to happen in the future. Many of you have noticed
that with its second chapter, I am taking a less childish, bright turn than I usually do in my stories. I don't want to
be labeled as someone who only writes about talking animals and preschool fare. Except for Jack, all the characters will be
humans, and have human situations. I want to show that I'm more flexible, even though Norm and Cory, at its conception,
was ambitious to begin with for me.
